The ELA/ELD/H-SS Team at the Fresno County Office of Education partners with districts and schools to strengthen literacy instruction and language development across grade levels and content areas. Grounded in California’s state standards and frameworks, our work supports educators in designing rigorous, engaging lessons where students read, write, speak, and listen with purpose.

We provide targeted support aligned to the Science of Literacy, SBAC, and ELPAC, helping districts connect assessment data to effective lesson design and instruction in both integrated and designated ELD. Through job-embedded professional learning, coaching, classroom modeling, and leadership support, we emphasize culturally and linguistically relevant and responsive pedagogy, evidence-based practices, and Universal Design for Learning to improve outcomes for English Learners and all students.
